Detect if files have been Moved (Amazon cloud drive)

Postby temm on Fri Jun 03, 2016 2:01 am

Hi,

I've setup a profile and that syncs a folder on my local machine to my Amazon cloud drive. Everything works fine.

Now i created a subfolder in my local folder, moved some files into that folder and executed the sync. The result is that the software copies these files into the new location without it 'Detecting' that the have moved.

I tried this with 'Standard Copying' and also 'Smart Tracking'. Is it intended to work some other way or am i doing something wrong?

It should work fine in both Standard Copying, Exact Mirror, and SmartTracking modes. The checkmark "Detect Moved Files" is on the Files tab sheet in the profile. Please take a look to see if it is checked.

If problems remain, please try our latest version 7.50 (currently beta but will be fully released in a few days):

Moved files can only be detected if they are unmodified, i.e. they have to have the same timestamps on both sides.

To analyze this further, you could generate a detailed log with "File List Building Details", a setting which you can choose on the Program Settings dialog, tab sheet Logs, and send it to support@syncovery.com.

Thank you for your fast reply. I will check this out and get back to you.

Update: I've tried what you have suggested but the result is the same. I sent the log file to support.
