Problems with Google Cloud Platform

Postby tecnobrain on Fri Aug 05, 2016 1:05 pm

Hello,

I have two problems between Syncovery and Google Cloud Platform. Configure two identical profiles: one goes up files to a free Google Drive and Google Cloud Platform another.

What I need is to make incremental and encrypted copies (which is necessary to package the files) but do not want to save previous copies, I want to just keep the last copy. With Google Drive works this way but Google Cloud Platform are always earlier copies (indefinitely). The only way that Google Cloud Platform remains only the latest version is that the files are not packaged.

Another problem I found is with restoring files. Let's assume you delete a folder on my local pc (from where I'm uploading files). When I want to restore from Google Cloud Platform, that folder does not appear. But if I restore from Google Drive, yes.

At first I thought it was a bad configuration profile (still I hope that is) but honestly I do not realize.

Attached two XML configurations with both profiles.

Thanks for help !

The first thing you need to change is use Exact Mirror mode for one-way jobs instead of SmartTracking.

If you run he job unattended, also make sure you allow deletions under Safety->Unattended Mode.

Ok,
I perform the tests and return with the results.

Thank you very much for the quick answer!

Hello,

Probe Exact Mirror but the result was not as expected. As before, configure two identical profiles, one up to Google Drive and Google Cloud Platform to another.
To Drive, the system detects only modified files and also delete files (if specified a delay, not deleted)
To Cloud, the system uploads all files, whether they are modified or not and does not eliminate any.

In summary, what I need is to keep 2 or 3 copies of each file in the Cloud, not more. But if for some reason, so Local (my server) removes any of them, I do not want you delete the Cloud.

This is possible? I am setting up of way wrong?

Attached xml profile I'm using.

Thank you very much for the help
