syncing sub folders not acting as expected...

Postby mcai8rw2 on Thu Dec 01, 2016 5:57 pm

Hello,

I'm scratching my head about something with Syncovery that I can't work out...

I'm trying to sync folders/files between my PC and my Amazon Cloud Photos account. (n.b. These folders/files have already been seeded on the target destination with the Amazon Photos upload tool)

| PICTURES
|__> SUB1
|__> SUB2
|__> SUB3
|__> ...

When I set up a SYNC job (L>R and R>L), I give Syncovery the folder on my hard drive, and the matching folder on my Amazon Account. When I do a test run, Syncovery then reports that ALL of the photos on my c: local hard disk need to be uploaded to Amazon cloud drive ... however, I can already see that these folders/files are present on Amazon. n.b. This only happens on folders that have subfolders inside it. Where the folder is one flat directory, no problem occurs.

I think this has something to do with file/folder attributes... but I've checked the "ignore timestamp altogether" and it still reports that all files need to be uploaded again.

What am I missing?

Thanks

James

Maybe there is a problem parsing your file and folder listing. Did you try the latest version 7.66? If yes, can you try if turning off "Recursive Listing" on the second tab sheet of the Internet dialog in the profile makes a difference?

Are the file details for these files missing on the Amazon side in the Sync Preview?

THats It!

I turned off "recursive listing" and when it checks now... it sees that everything is already synced!

Thank you!
