Pausing big files with ACD

Postby britcowboy on Fri Jan 27, 2017 11:08 am

Hi,

I'm trialing syncovery with ACD. My upload speed isn't great, and i'm trying to upload one big file. Because I intend to use this with the windows feature, so to stop work during certain times that I need the internet to be free, my question is, is there a way of getting it to continue the file upload? It seems to not actually store anything on ACD (if you look at their interface) until the end.

The best way would be to enable part splitting with relatively small parts on the Internet dialog (where you chose the Amazon Drive protocol). Then if you pause or even cancel the job, the next time it can skip the already uploaded parts - but only if the file is not zipped and not encrypted.

Alternatively, you could try specifying a relatively low speed limit in the profile under Files->More. This speed limit can be turned off and on while the file is being uploaded - if the job runs in the foreground (in Attended Mode).
