Prioritize new files over updates

Postby orensbruli on Thu Dec 29, 2016 4:27 am

Hello,

I'm uploading my archive to Amazon Drive.
When I resume an upload much of the time it's re-uploading big files because of any properties change.
I would preffer to get all the files uploaded before it begins to re-upload (update) already uploaded files.

Is there any way to do this?

I'm using Left to Righ, Standard Copying mode.

Thank you so much in advance.

Hello,
thanks for the request! I will consider it for a future version.

Currently, the only way is to do a separate profile run for new files, or to have two separate profiles - one for new files, one for updates).

If you run a job manually in attended mode, you can choose "Existence: One Side" in the Sync Preview and proceed to copy only new files. Then you need to run the profile again to copy updated files.

If you want to create separate profiles for new and updated files, you can use these checkboxes in the profiles:

Under Files -> More:
X Never Replace Any Files
versus
X Don't Add Any Files
