How to Schedule profile to repeat every hour.

Postby ApplePie on Wed Mar 01, 2017 2:36 pm

I am having problems setting up a profile to repeat every hour at a specific time
with Super Flexible 5.73.

Objective: have the profile start at 4 minutes after each hour
Current Result: SuperFlexible changes the start time to exactly on the hour on its own
when I use the following settings:

Schedule tab
- Schedule This Profile radio button = enabled
- Run Every 0 days 0 hours 60 minutes 0 seconds enabled
- Specify Next Run "current day" "set the time for the next 4 minutes after the hour eg: 12:04:00"
- Interval specifies the idle time between runs is not enabled

So the profile does run every hour but not at 4 minutes after the hour after
the profile is run several times. I have not tracked when SuperFlexible changes the
scheduled time from 04 minutes to 00 minutes.

Thank you for any help.

Hello,
it could be a bug in this old version. You may want to consider upgrading to the latest Syncovery 7.

However, you can add an additional 4 minute delay before the job runs by going to the setting
Job -> Execute before/after

and entering the following line in the "before" field:
*240*NET.EXE USE

This invokes a command that does nothing (NET USE) and then waits for 240 seconds.

Thank you for the instructions to incorporate a delay timer
for any Profile to start. The Profiles have been working
as required (performs the file copying 4 minutes after the top of
the hour).

I have a followup question. What is the function of the asterix
within SuperFlexible in the statement you provided:

*240*Net.exe Use

:)

Hello,
the two asterisks just tell Syncovery that it should interpret the number as an additional wait time. It was just a random symbol that I chose when I invented this syntax (many many years ago ...).

Cheers,
