Temporary file in a FTP connection

Postby descargasOPS on Fri Jan 26, 2018 5:46 am

We have a profile running in one side with a FTP Connection (Protocol FTP, Port 21 and Passive Mode).
We can observ that when the connection is stablished for the first time in the FileZilla Server, is created a file called sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$.
What we see in the FIleZilla Server is something like that:
STOR sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$
[...]
LIST sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$
[...]
MFMT sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$
[...]
LIST sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$
[...]
DELE sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$
[...]

How can avoid to send this file? We are having problemas with our system due to this file.

Hi All,

Has a response ever been provided for this issue? I have all the options unchecked, yet my client is still receive these sffs.tz.check.xxxxxxx.$$$ along with the actual data files.

Please let me know if there is any way in which it can be prevented that this files are sent along with the actual data files?

Thank you

Please turn off Zone:Auto on the second tab sheet of the FTP dialog.

Thank you for your response. I will uncheck the Zone: Auto box and see what occurs.

I had looked into the manual to determine what negative action unchecking this box might have, but could not locate the information.

I am hopeful that this action will resolve the issue.

It should not have any effect because the time zone settings should already be correct, so it doesn't have to be detected again every day.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I will uncheck the Zone Auto option and post the final results.

Hi,
I had unchecked the Zone[ ] Auto Box and moved the Superflexible job from a server which was running Superflexible 6.12a to a server which was recently upgraded to Syncovery 7.95a, and the results are the same. The tz.$$$ files are still be generated and being sent to the client. Are there any other options that need to be unchecked in order that this files are not sent to the client?
Thank you for the support and response, it is greatly appreciated.

If you uncheck Zone:Auto, these files will not be generated.

If they still are, maybe the job is still running on the old server too.

Or maybe you need to stop the scheduler and cancel the job and then restart everything.

Take a look at the log files. If timezone detection is performed, it will be logged.

I am re-posting because this issue continues, the client is still receiving the TZ files.
Here is a summary of the issue:
I have a job which transfers files from left to right, left side is local, right side is the client target.
I have unchecked the Zone Auto option on the right side, does this option also need to be unchecked on the left side?
I have reviewed the log and found that time zone is being deleted on the left side and that there is an error delete the TZ files, because they do not exist. I have included the log file below for your review, just slightly modified the actual names to protect the our company and client:

Syncovery v7.95a, build 576 (64-bit)

The profile is executed by the scheduler in a separate thread.

Hello,
according to the log file, the checkmark Zone:Auto is still chosen on the second tab sheet of the Internet dialog in the profile, on the right-hand side. You really need to uncheck that. Stop the scheduler. And then test the job manually in the foreground (in attended mode). You will see if timezone detection is done or not, in the progress dialog at the beginning of the profile run.

You may also want to update Syncovery. Only after verifying the profile performance in attended mode should you restart the scheduler.
