Empty folders deletion attempted - but it shouldn't!

Postby lafath on Sun Jul 18, 2010 9:58 am

Hello all,

I'm having a strange problem with version 5.04 build 73.
2 servers: one Windows 2008, server A, and one Windows 2003, server B.
The two servers keep a common folder structure synchronized by a 2-way SmartTracking profile, running on A.
I'm currently setting this up, so just testing now.
What just happened is that I renamed some folders on B and ran the profile manually on A. It found that these folders were renamed and did the same on A, too. This is what I wanted.
But, after doing this, it attempted to delete all empty folders in the renamed folders on A, and managed to do this and I didn't want this to happen. Strangely enough, this happened only on server A! The empty folders on B still exist.
Profile Advanced Settings -> Folders -> Remove Folders That Were Emptied is NOT checked.
Why did this happen? Is there another setting regarding empty folders deletion that I missed?

Thank you in advance for your help,
Athos

Hello,
as an addendum, after running the first job that tried to remove empty folders on server A and did it for the ones it found, I rerun the same job and it recreated on server A the empty folders that it deleted in the previous run.
This is expected, since they still existed on server B, but it shouldn't have removed them in the first place.

Hope this helps, thank you for your help :)

The new version 5.06 should fix this problem.
