Sync Failed and did not reset when sending zip file

Postby jshood on Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:30 pm

Using version 5.06 I have a sync setup via ftp with the remote listing & unzipping service installed.

I'm using smartsync to do a left to right sync.

The FTP transfer of the zip file containing 4000+ files failed due to a permissions issue.

When I fixed the permissions issue and re-ran the sync, it did not pickup the 4000 files that did not transfer over. It appears since the zip was created they were marked as synced.

Is this the expected behavior?

Yes. You need to delete the database. The files are probably ignored because you have "Deleted Files" set to Ignore in SmartTracking.

Normally you DO NOT USE SmartTracking for 1-way syncs. Use Standard Copying or Exact Mirror unless you have a really good reason to use SmartTracking.
