Hi, I'm new to SFFS and am checking it out to see how it works and if it is what I need. I tried to set up a test sync but I must have done something wrong

On the left is one folder containing one file. On the right is one folder, empty. I set the profile to:

Maybe the file is filtered. Please check the global exclusion masks which you will find on the Program Settings dialog (F8). What is the name of the file?

Its name is onenote.tc

It is a Truecrypt (.tc) file. Truecrypt is an encryption software.

I looked and I didn't see that it should be filtered. This was my very first backup of any kind, might that matter?

Update:
I ran another test, this time on a text (.txt) file, and it worked. I guess I need to find out why it didn't backup my .tc file. I'll need that ability.

Thanks.

Hi,

it sounds a bit like the file was not actually in that folder. But to find out more details, please go to the Program Settings dialog (F8), tab sheet Logs, and choose the "File List Building Details". Then the log file will list all files that are seen in the folders and reasons why they might not be considered. You can post it here again if you wish so I can interpret it if necessary.

Cheers,
Tobias

I got it to work.

In Profile Settings >> Advanced Settings >> masks and Filters >> General Filters tab >> I unchecked the box "Copy Only Files With Archive Flag", and it copied. TC is funny about the archive flag on its files.

Also, I'll keep in mind the log file "File List Building Details". It sound like that will come in handy. Thanks for your help.
