waiting time countdown before shutdown

Postby iconbill on Tue Oct 19, 2010 12:27 pm

file -> program setting -> tab 'misc'

1.in this tab there is a setting called 'waiting time countdown before shutdown'
I did not find info in the help or forum, so could you give some extra information?

2. i think i want set this setting to 0 seconds/mintues, because if the profile is running and the user is shutting down the laptop/pc then the profile must stop without delay.

3. and can the schedule start again when the pc power up again, after a forced shutdown?
i see an option called 'run missed daily jobs...' but in this case the job is not missed, it's ended before completing the job.

My tip of the day: Create an online help website. And everytime someone is asking in the forum, also update your online help file! In this case we do never have to wait for a new update of the program for access the latest help. And after a while you can answer lot of people..'see online manual!' :)

The waiting time is applied when the profile is set to do a shutdown when finished (see Job tab sheet in profile). Then the user gets a chance to stop the shutdown during the countdown.

No that's not what this option means.

The scheduler normally starts when you log on. However it won't immediately start an interrupted job. It will use the next regular time. If you want the scheduler to run without having to log on, you must install it as a service. Please see http://www.superflexible.com/docup.htm.

ok!

Then I change it back to 300 seconds, because that is indeed a good value in the case SFFS is shutting down the pc.

thx
