Prevent copying "already copied" files

Postby cybermat on Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:53 am

Hello,
is there a way to set SFFS in a way that can prevent to re-copy the same file?
I try to be more clear.

We have a FTP source with a folder with the .txt files , then we copy these .txt file to the destination folder.

In the destination folder there is a batch that every 1 hour processes the files, marking them with .done extension , so once SFFS will re-run it will copy the same .txt file already copied, present in the source folder.

I know that is weird asking to a tool that does a Syncronization to avoid this...but maybe there is an option that i don't know.

Thanks
Mat

You can use the "SmartTracking" operating mode.

With the default SmartTracking settings, it is set to "ignore deleted files". That means they will not be copied again.

You can change the SmartTracking settings by clicking on the Configure button.
