teamviewer vpn is now gone

I've been using teamviewer for a few years to create a vpn between my computers where one is in my home, and the other is in my summer vacation home. I then use syncovery to sync my files for backup purposes. Now Teamviewer says I'm a commercial user (google search shows that LOTS of people are getting this erroneous msg) and it won't work anymore. My question is does anybody have a suggestion of what software is available (low cost or free) to create a vpn between my computers so I can continue to sync using syncovery?
