Transfer files with spaces in file name

Postby willklumb on Sun Jan 16, 2011 1:37 pm

I am trying to update a large volume of file to a ftp site and am having a problem because most have spaces in the file name.

Is there a setting I can change in Super Flexible to accomidate this or is there a way to transfer these files with out manually taking out the spaces, this would be a huge project?

Normally, spaces are only a problem if they are the first or last character in the filename.

However I heard that some servers require spaces to be preceded with a backslash. You can implement this with the "Replace characters..." function on the second tab sheet of the FTP dialog. Choose "Use Custom Replacements" and for the local side, type a space character and for the remote side, a backslash followed by a space character.
