Using SMEStorage (WebDav)

Postby jjoerg on Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:04 am

I just started evaluating Super Flexible for use with the SMEStorage service. SMEStorage is set up with their CloudDav service, and SMEStoreage's own cloud provider (in reality S3) is set up as default provider. (Not that I think this should matter).

My problem is that I'm unable to make Super Flexible connect properly with SMEStorage. I enter either http://webdav.smestorage.com or https://webdav.smestorage.com in the address box, and add either /my Syncs or just My Syncs (without the slash) as the folder. No matter what combinations of these plus authentication methods (Basic, NTLM...) I try, whenever I try to browse the folder tree on the SMEStorage side, the dialog box just shows an empty \My Syncs folder. When I try to run the profile a get an error message that the server couldn't be reached (I'm not at this computer now, and don't have the exact message).

I should note that I'm able to browse to \\webdav.smestorage.com@ssl in Windows Explorer, and that other tools (eg. GoodSync) accessing the WebDav share experience no authentication problems.

Can anyone tell me what the proper setup is?

Hi,

our software supports Amazon S3 directly - if you can get the access keys, that would be better.

However I might give SMEStorage a shot. Which of the many options on the web site should I choose to get to the same situation that you are in?

You will now find version 5.57 on our web site which works with SMEStorage.
