Is there a way (on either the Mac or PC version) that would allow for an approval workflow?
1 . JPEG image is uploaded to an FTP folder by a user, once detected an email is sent as an attachment or a link as sent for a web preview.
2a. (Option A) Manager reviews the email attachment and replies with an approval (via keyword or can trigger another action item or script).
2b. (Option B) Manager receives web-link (preferably different each time) with a preview of the image and an option to click: Approve or Reject.
3. Once item has been approved, said item (image) will be moved into an "Approved" folder within the same FTP (or separate server potentially). Alternatively rejected items will be moved to a "Rejected" folder on the same sever the approved folder resides on.
4. Confirmation email is sent to the initial (user) uploaded stating their content has been approved or rejected.
Bonus option: A link is sent within the confirmation email with a "Craigslist style" delete this file. Which could lead to a custom web-link/form that would show the image and an option to delete the image once the remove clicked.
Am I dreaming here or is this possible with a combination of apps, scripting, html5 app, etc. This would need to work on a mobile browser via an internal app or web app and preferably iOS (iPhone, potentially iPad) and Android as an option.
I have looked at services such as:
http://fluxcorp.com
https://floify.com
http://www.ipswitchft.com/
we currently own Super Flexible File Syncronizer, the new Syncovery and our corporate office has Globalscape EFT http://www.globalscape.com/mft/.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by a low level "button pusher" trying to shift the responsibility back onto the people paid to approve.
